Exporters who want to export bulk wheat from Australia must be accredited by Wheat Exports Australia under the Wheat Export Accreditation Scheme.

The scheme establishes a system of accreditation for bulk wheat exporters in order to attest that an exporter is a fit and proper company to export bulk wheat from Australia.

Mark Love has been engaged by Wheat Export Australia, the authority that administers the scheme, to review accreditation proposals, particularly in relation to the examination of corporate and financial structures of foreign–owned subsidiaries seeking to be accredited as bulk exporters of Australian wheat.

Mark’s experience with the grain industry includes acting as counsel to the former Grains Council of Australia in relation to the Cole Inquiry into certain Australian companies in relation to the UN Oil-for-Food Programme.
